Just four weeks ago http://www.buccaneersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-vita-vea-jersey , the Bucs were dismantled by the Panthers 42-28. The score didn’t reflect the difference in play on the field. Dirk Koetter’s team was playing behind from the get go and really didn’t have much of a chance to get in a rhythm like they wanted to. Carolina’s offense did whatever it wanted all day whether it was through the air or on the ground. However, now Tampa Bay will get to play a Panthers team that hasn’t won a game since that pounding of the Bucs four weeks ago. If there’s ever a chance to catch an opponent while they’re down, this is it. 1. First half defenseThe Buccaneers were put of the game early the last time these two teams met. Carolina led 14-0 after the first quarter and 35-7 with just seconds left in the half. That forced Tampa Bay to essentially have to play a perfect final 30 minutes and they nearly did. Regardless, the defense can’t put the Bucs offense in this type of scenario again. The Panthers could no wrong against Mark Duffner’s unit four weeks ago. That should piss this defense off and make them come out with a renewed effort. 2. Slowing the Panthers down on the groundCarolina killed the Buccaneers by running the ball in the previous matchup. The Panthers ran 32 times for 179 yards and four touchdowns with Christian McCaffrey being the main benefactor of that production. The star running back carried the ball 17 times for 79 yards and two scores while also catching five passes for 78 yards. Carolina used a lot of misdirection and jet sweeps to confuse the Bucs defense.Wide receiver Curtis Samuel scored on a 33-yard rush while fellow wideout DJ Moore recorded a 32-yard run of his own during the game. 3. Limiting turnoversAn early interception led to the Panthers grabbing a 7-0 lead and taking away the momentum early in the first quarter from the Tampa Bay offense in the last game between the two teams. Another interception late in the contest stalled any chance of a comeback. The Buccaneers did an excellent job of holding onto the ball against San Francisco. They didn’t commit a turnover for the first time since week one. Still, Tampa Bay currently sits with a -21 turnover differential and have yet to prove they can consistently take care of the ball. 4. Mike EvansMike Evans had one of the worst games of his career the last time he played the Panthers. Evans caught one of ten targets for 16 total yards in the loss. Just to show you how bad that was, check this out. It was just the third time in his 72 career games that Evans has had one or fewer catches. It was only the fourth time that he’s ever had 16 or fewer yards in a game.Since then Carlton Davis Jersey , the former Texas A&M star has found his groove. Evans hasn’t recorded less than 51 yards in the last three games and has recorded 115 or more receiving yards in three of his last five games. If there’s anyone looking for redemption on Sunday outside of the Bucs defense, it’s got to be Evans. 5. Protecting Jameis Winston Tampa Bay surrendered three sacks in its last game against Carolina. One of the sacks resulted in a fumble but luckily the Bucs were able to recover it.Since the three-sack performance by the Panthers defense four weeks ago they’ve gotten to the quarterback just four total times in three games. The Buccaneers offensive line needs to step up and bury a struggling defensive front. Tampa Bay had arguably its most disappointing loss of the season last Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. The offense was anemic, the defense was picked apart, and the special teams wasn’t anything to write home about. However, as slim as they may be, there were a few positives. Peyton Barber had one his best games of the entire year behind a strong effort from the offensive line against one of the top defenses in the NFL. And Vita Vea was one of the few defensive linemen with a pulse against the Ravens.Lamar Jackson and Baltimore’s running game made Tampa Bay look a step too slow all game. Whether it was misdirection or the option Authentic Mike Evans Jersey , the Bucs defense basically had no answers on a dreary Sunday. Jameis Winston is also looking for answers following another sub-par performance from his offensive line. Winners1. Peyton BarberBarber was one of the few Bucs to find success against the Ravens tough defense. He finished with 19 carries for 85 yards while scoring early in the second quarter to give Tampa Bay its only touchdown of the day. It was the former Auburn’s star fifth touchdown of the season. He has five of the teams 10 scores on the ground in 2018 and five of the six touchdowns by a running back. The 85 rushing yards tied for his second best output of the season. 2. Vita VeaAll season, Tampa Bay has received backlash for selecting Vita Vea over Derwin James in the 2018 NFL Draft. While the criticism is deserved, James will likely win DROY while manning the Los Angeles defense. However, Vea showed flashes of what his future could hold against Baltimore. The rookie defensive tackle recorded a career-high nine tackles and was dominant on the defensive front all day when the rest of his unit was getting manhandled. I also thought he did a great job in pursuing plays. If Vea can keep up this level of play, he makes Gerald McCoy expendable.McCoy is owed $13 million next season and the veteran defensive tackle is signed through 2021. Getting his contract off the books would give the Bucs the luxury to upgrade somewhere else. 3. Mike Evans Evans continued to have success during the best season of his career. He caught four passes for 121 yards but he was held out of the end zone for the fourth straight game. The veteran wide receiver had a 64-yard catch and run in the second quarter to set up a Tampa Bay field goal. He’s been a steady option on offense all year. Losers1. Rushing defenseThe Buccaneers got ripped to shreds by Baltimore’s running game. The Ravens rushed for 242 yards as a team and made timely plays all game. They converted 9/16 third down attempts while accruing 12 plays of ten yards or more in what was a long day for this defense. Whether it was Lamar Jackson or Gus Edwards, the Bucs couldn’t plug a hole all day. They were outmatched and out of position all game. 2. Pass protectionWhile Tampa Bay finally found some consistent success on the ground Youth Kwon Alexander Jersey , the passing game was a mess all day. Despite Baltimore getting just one sack during the contest, on the first drive nevertheless, the pressure forced Jameis Winston out of a rhythm. The former Florida State star didn’t complete a pass over seven yards until his tenth throw of the afternoon found Evans for a 23-yard gain. All in all, Winston was pressured on roughly 25% of his drop backs. The designed blitzes from Baltimore confused both the offensive line and Winston. With little time to throw the ball and little confidence in his protection, Winston could never get in a flow. 3. Coaching staffThe greatest flaw of all on Sunday may of been the coaching staff. What is up with the offensive play calling? On the first drive of the game, Barber reeled off a 15 yard run. After that http://www.buccaneersauthorizedshops.com/authentic-donovan-smith-jersey , the Bucs passed three straight times and were forced to punt. Barber had 11 runs for 60 yards and a touchdown with 12:03 left in the second quarter. Tampa Bay was moving the ball on the ground. Then they went away from it. The third-year running back had just seven carries after that for the remainder of the game when clearly they weren’t producing through the air. Defensive coordinator Mark Duffner got taken to the woodshed on Sunday. He failed to adjust his defense at multiple points throughout the game and the end result was 242 yards on the ground for Baltimore. It makes sense why the majority of this staff will be packing up their offices in a few weeks.
