The NHLs Mar. 5 Trade Deadline is drawing closer and teams will be deciding on whether to buy or sell. Check out todays trade-related reports and speculation from around the NHL beat, including Martin Brodeurs apparent willingness to leave New Jersey. Open for Business? The long-time face of the New Jersey Devils franchise has stated that he might be okay with finishing his career as a temporary face for another franchise. Martin Brodeur told New Jerseys The Record that hed be open to a move that would see him leave New Jersey in favour of more playing time. “Im open to anything,” Brodeur told The Records Tom Gulitti. “I just want to play. So, like I said in Toronto, if theres a better situation for me, Ill take it. If its here or somewhere else, it doesnt matter.” That said, TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie believes that the best fit for Brodeur might well be in East Rutherford for the duration of this season, especially since creasemate Cory Schneider has already opened the door for Brodeur once this season. On Wednesday nights edition of The Quiz, McKenzie said: “If Im Lou Lamoriello, Im not trading Marty Brodeur for a third-round pick. If he wants to walk in the summer, he can go then.” Wait Until Summer? The Dallas Stars find themselves in an interesting position, trade-wise. With Stephane Robidas, Ray Whitney and Vernon Fiddler eligible for unrestricted free agency this summer, they may have pieces to move should they decide they are out of the Western Conference playoff race. But Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News sees more benefit in waiting for the summer to try to land another impact piece like the team did this past off-season with Tyler Seguin. With the possibility that Robidas may not be healthy enough to deal by the deadline and with Jim Nill reportedly only willing to move prospects of picks in "the right deal," Heika believes the Stars would be best served keeping it simple and keep the focus on stockpiling picks and prospects. The Stars enter Thursday nights games seven points back of eighth-place Vancouver with two games in hand. Youth in Revolt The Detroit Red Wings salary cap obligations may make pre-deadline deals a difficulty in Motown. While Michigan Live speculates that the likes of Steve Ott, Ales Hemsky and Mike Cammalleri could be enticing to the Wings, Ken Holland has stated that hes less willing to part with some of the Wings young talent to get deals for those types of players done. “We like our kids,” Holland told the site. “I dont know that there [are] players available on the market that are better than the kids we got.” The Wings have gotten good contributions this season from young forwards like Riley Sheahan and Tomas Jurco. Marquise Blair Jersey . The game had many controversial incidents that, upon closer inspection, were not as controversial as many believed. The Formations Toronto FC lined up in its usual 4-4-2 formation, with Nick Hagglund slotting in at right fullback and Bradley Orr at centreback in place of the injured Mark Bloom and Steven Caldwell, respectively. Cheap Seahawks Jerseys . Yet heading to New York, the Habs remain positive as it all comes down to the one main ingredient that the organization has built its team on - character. http://www.cheapseahawksjerseysauthentic.com/?tag=authentic-richard-sherman-jersey . -- Oakland Athletics third baseman Scott Sizemore has undergone surgery on his left knee to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament. Cortez Kennedy Jersey . Geovany Soto had an RBI for the Cubs. Carlos Silva gave up one run on three hits over six innings to pick up the win. Josh Willingham drove in the lone run for the Nationals, who had just four hits. Marshawn Lynch Jersey . Cesar said the difficulties he went through after the 2010 World Cup helped him become "a better professional" and made him "more focused" on his career. He admitted that he took things for granted before the World Cup in South Africa, when he arrived considered the worlds top goalkeeper.BOSTON -- John Tavares scored 32 seconds into the third period and added a power-play goal with 6:43 left as the New York Islanders rallied for a 5-3 win over the Boston Bruins on Tuesday night. Boston gave New York repeated opportunities, and the Islanders capitalized for their fourth straight road win. The Bruins appeared to be in command after Patrice Bergeron and Zdeno Chara scored 25 seconds apart to put Boston up 3-1 midway through the second period. The momentum dissolved quickly as Boston spent most of the final four minutes trying to kill penalties. Okposos power-play goal with three seconds left in the second period tied it 3-3. Tavares gave New York its first lead with a tough-angle wrist shot 32 seconds into the third. Nielsen started the comeback on a one-timer from the slot with 3:30 left in the second to pull New York within 3-2, scoring his second power-play goal of the game. The Bruins were back at full-strength for aall of three seconds before the Islanders went right back on the power play when Milan Lucic was called for cross-checking during the faceoff.dddddddddddd Boston killed that penalty, but gave New York another opportunity when a clearing attempt by goalie Tuukka Rask went over the glass for a delay-of-game penalty with 41 seconds left in the period. Okposos wrist shot just seconds before the horn sent the game into the third tied at 3-3. Tavares sealed the Islanders win later in the period. Bergerons power-play goal with 7:27 left in the second gave Boston a 2-1 lead, which Chara added to 25 seconds later with a slap shot from the point. It was the 10th goal of the season for both Boston veterans. Nielsen tied it with a power-play goal 5:56 into the second on a one-timer from the top of the right circle off a crossing pass from Tavares. The goal came just 24 seconds after Matt Bartkowski was called for holding. David Krejci broke a scoreless tie 5:25 into the game for his 100th NHL goal on a rebound off a shot by Jarome Iginla.
